 Glad to hear that you have made significant progress and are being careful in 
all regards. You should be able to easily check your battery voltage by using a 
multi-meter across the terminals, or by use of a load tester (a better, more 
accurate method). You can also check the cigar lighter voltage by use of the 
two cable multi-meter. I had to charge my Black & Decker battery booster 
overnight iaw the manual. It took 15 minutes to charge my almost- 
fully-depleted battery prior to start. I started my C-90 without hesitation. 
The internal program in the booster has a multitude of safety features and 
various lights to indicate it's condition. Make sure you follow them closely. 
Is it possible that your cigar lighter has a solenoid between it and your 
battery, and/or is wired to your Master Battery switch? the check described 
above should suffice to check each.  Better make sure. Note that the booster 
must be recharged after each use, and perhaps once a month if not used.
 In the event you received a defective booster, I'm confident that B&D will
