On the Lexan. Lexan is great stuff, it is what they make CD's out of, try breaking one of these... It is definitely tougher than plexiglass. I made my side windows out of lexan and would do the windshield too but the windshield gets splashed with gasoline from the header tank and lexan does not like gasoline. for the windshield keep on using plexiglass. My coupe came without the center window. Both side windows slide up and meet at the top to close the plane up. or one can slide up all the way to provide a cover with the sides slightly open and a slap on green shade provides the protection. I think it makes it hard for two people to get out of a coupe in a rush, (lets say the engine catches fire on start up,) and you have a center window... As for the Nuvite, it does shine up great and how frequently it needs doing depends on where you keep yur plane. Forget about open hangars or outdoors under a canopy. It has to be in a closed hangar. In Texas on the Giulf coast, about every 4 months a three hour go over with S cut will keep it shining great. In drier locations maybe longer... It also depends on how bad your engine leaks oil...
