Thanks John. It's oft times hard to put things in writing without coming across as crass, rude, or abrasive - no tone or inflection, just stark letters (and sometimes a poor choice of words). After reading through the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for the Orr-Lac zinc chromate primer, I decided to go ahead and buy several cans and give it a whirl. I'll post my findings when I've used it enough to form an opinion. I'm not too surprised at the lack of willing and able GA mechanics to be found these days.....especially, those to work on Ercoupes. Various factors involved (putting food on the table on a regular basis is one). I guess it's just a sign of the times. Anyone stopping by E95 Benson, Arizona can find a couple of very good licensed GA mechanics there - Eric and Waylon. Tom > Hi Frosty, > No offense taken.
