Ed.
I bought a rebuilt kit there myself. The guy who runs the shop is very
knowledgeable and a big help. He sent me the kit to Germany for not more than
the minimum shipping charge and I was surprised about the quality of the kit.

I don't buy the saga that aircraft parts are under a special quality control.
If a part is not good enough for an aircraft, why would I want to have that in
my car? No, the higher costs are due to the companies trying to offset costs
for certification and then also because they can.

It was the same when I bought spare parts for my 4 wheel drive pick-up truck.
When I asked why I pay double for the parts compared to other cars, they
replied because its a 4-wheeler! Yeah right.

Disclaimer: The kit will be used for an experimental engine rebuilt of course.

Hi all!
To get back to the fuel pump thread I have some info for those who might be
interested.
There is an outfit called Antique Auto Parts Cellar at 781-335-8860 that
cells pump kits for the 9051 and 9867 which is the one in my 415C. The kits
contain the diaphragm assembly, factory staked together, bowl gasket and
screen, check valve, rocker pin and rocker spring and gasket to block. The
material in the kits are fresh and intended to work in today's fuels. The kits,
the last time I checked were $29.50 each, and out $9.50 minimum shipping charge
will cover 1 to 4 kits in the same box to the same place. They will ship UPS
and take the usual credit cards.
