Al,
If you had read my messages without inference, you would know that was my
purpose in the original question, but I guess it was hard to understand.
I am not
about to put an aircraft fuel pump worth a couple hundred dollars on a
diesel
engine, but if I can determine what automotive use it has and can get a
replacement
for $27.++, that's the way I will go, because a replacement for the Case
pump isn't
available.
I knew that if I came on and asked for help getting a fuel pump for a
diesel engine,
there would be a few who would be so offended that I would use an
aircraft tech
site to get help on a diesel engine I should be drawn and quartered.
Seems there are
those who want to exert their authority and whatever, no matter what is
asked and
or how it it asked.
To those who were so helpful, I again say thank you, I have a new fuel
pump for
$27.79 plus tax awaiting me at the local parts store today. Even it will
require some
exchanging of parts, but it will work. A 1965 model of diesel is
difficult to get parts
for.

And we all know that those parts can only be used in our tractors!

Hi all!
To get back to the fuel pump thread I have some info for those who might
be interested.
There is an outfit called Antique Auto Parts Cellar at 781-335-8860 that
cells pump kits for the 9051 and 9867 which is the one in my 415C. The
kits contain the diaphragm assembly, factory staked together, bowl gasket
and screen, check valve, rocker pin and rocker spring and gasket to block.
The material in the kits are fresh and intended to work in today's fuels.
The kits, the last time I checked were $29.50 each, and out $9.50 minimum
shipping charge will cover 1 to 4 kits in the same box to the same place.
They will ship UPS and take the usual credit cards.
