Mr. Terry suggests an attempt for a "large group discount". Unfortunately, this isn't possible for several reasons. First, if you belong to AOPA, you already get a discount thru ANY broker, not just AOPA's in-house agency. Secondly, there frankly are two more reasons working against the concept: 1. Not enough Ercoupes, and no matter what you do, only a small fraction would participate anyhow. 2. Premium for Ercoupes and similarly valued, 2 place airplanes just isn't large enough that the underwriting insurance companies themselves, will devote the time and resources to developing such a program. We have to remember that the agent doesn't make the rules - he/she is only the messenger.
