John, Was your point that it's conceivable that there could be an AI who's A&P license is not active but he's still legal as an AI? Similarly, I don't think you can get to be a CFI without holding a valid pilot's license but you can let the pilot's license lapse and continue to working as a CFI. So, the question is: Can someone still be active as an AI after letting the A&P license lapse or go inactive?
