Don, You bring up an important point. I've seen several inches difference in the thickness of the seats. My Ercoupe with original seat cushions were pretty thin in the middle and not all that thick in the seat. They provided a comfortable seat but my head was not bumping the canopy like it has in come other Coupes I've flown. If I'd had no rudder pedals, my legs would have been quite comfortable. As it was, my knees got uppity on the very long cross country legs. Chris, if you go back to original seats, pay attention to the thickness of the cushions.
