Potentially, another factor in your shins hitting the panel is perhaps the 415C had the larger panel installed (check Skyport). That puts I think 1.5" or 2" more panel downwards. - Jason ________________________________ From: DONALD BOWEN [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, April 04, 2007 8:00 PM To: Chris; COUPERS TECH Subject: RE: [COUPERS-TECH] Bucket seats........ ----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- Hi, Chris, Those are fine looking seats. I don't think you'll have any trouble selling or trading them. My ALON has adjustable (on the ground) bucket seats as original equipment. I am 6' 3" tall and have plenty of room for my legs. Conversely, when I previously tried to fit into a 415 C with the bench seat, my shins just below my kneecaps hit the lower part of the instrument panel. I am not aware that the bench seat had added cushioning - I don't think so. I'm not in the market for seats, but just wanted you to make absolutely sure you'll fit better in the 415 C with a bench seat. Maybe it's the installation hardware, not the seats themselves that are the problem?? To: [email protected] My 415C project came with bucket seats about 95% done. Quality workmanship. I am going back to the original because I am tall and it gives more room. Would consider trade for original upholstery. Located Santa Cruz, CA. Will box up and ship. Email for lots more pictures.
