I had a problem a while back with my muffler coming loose every few hours of flying. I could become disconcerting because when it came loose the engine sounded very different, causing me great concern. At the last annual, two weeks ago, I had the mechanic replace the muffler clamps with new $60 ones from Univair. I flew 9 hours last weekend to Knoxville and as we returned the engine sounded funny again. After landing I looked and the right stack had come completely out of the muffler! Any ideas of why the muffler won't stay tightly clamped onto the stacks? Thanks! Larry Snyder N99340 Yahoo! Groups Links
