I live on Almena Michigan Airport (2C5).
The great part is living on an aiport: Out the
backdoor and in the air. The Downside is it is in the
infamous "Snowbelt." Moisture is picked up over Lake
Michigan - and dumped in about a 20 mile belt. I'm in
the middle of it. Waking up to 2-3 feet is not
unusual. Ten miles away may have gotten an inch or so
of snow. :(
This is compounded by no lights on the field...and by
the time I get home it's always dark. On those rare
weekends I can fly, I would like to still be able to
wheel it out, unjack it, and take off.
Future plans call for a plow truck - and lights.
Current plans are to keep gas in the Coupe and my car!
