Does anyone in the group have experience storing an Ercoupe fuselage in a
shipping container? I want to put my restoration project in one; minus tail
and wings it looks like it will just barely fit.
Yes it can be done The left and right landing gear legs are swapped so the
axles point inward and it will fit in the container. This is fairly easily
done at the knee joint.
I assembled a Coupe that had been shipped that way a few years back.
Beware that the shipping container can be a cozy garage for mice, and can
also be damp inside.
