Hey Dennis: As pointed out earlier by Richard, the Center section rear spar reinforcement is covered in Ercoupe Memorandum 53 A. There are two U channels PN 415-13109 installed under the top web of the rear spar. There should be approximately 12 rivets on each side on the top of the rear spar that hold the reinforce-ment channels in place. I have seen some that have used bolts, but the service memorandum uses AN470AD -4-5 and -6 rivets. These U channels are located 6 to 8 inches out board of the center and should be easily identified by running your hand under the top of the rear spar. Lynn Nelsen
