I have heard Ed comment as to how any disruption of the airflow in the vicinity of the wing root causes the coupe to drift to that side. Might be a consideration. Bill

The only mounting point I can think of is the gap between walkbox and wing panel behind the rear spar.The step would then point inwards toward the fuselage.
