  Yes the stainless tanks can be repaired. But you have to get some 
  50/50 real lead solder, that is hard to find. then you have to get 
  flux that is for stainless, again hard to find. then you have to know 
  what your doing or you can ruin a tank fast. Plus if you have a old 
  fasion high wattage solder iron that helps. hope this helps. Mark
