Yep, that's the kind of speed I've commonly heard of from an Alon - about 116 mph or so. Maybe, for the Alon being sold on e-bay, they're trying to assure people that the plane is SLOWER than 120 kts and is therefore eligible to be flown by Sport Pilots - except that it isn't eligible because of the gross weight.
