Folks -

Any published demonstrated x-w component for a light airplane (< 12,599 lbs
MGTOW) is NOT a limitation.

It is the maximum DEMONSTRATED component that the airplane was found able to
handle during flight testing.

Sometimes, it merely represents the max x-w that the test pilot could find
on the day that part of the certification flight tests were conducted.

So, obey the max demonstrated crosswind component, and you should not get in
trouble, assuming you have good pilot skills. But, it's still not a
limitation (it is in large and turbine powered airplanes), so you're totally
free to experiment on your own if you wish, again in a light airplane.
