Thanks for your recent post concerning welding repairs.? I had sent out my
comments on the issue prior
to receiving yours and I was ignorant to the 43.13 restrictions.? I looked over
the section on welding and did
not find the general statement that you referenced about not welding on highly
stressed components,
but I did find (4-78 d) narrative specifically disallowing welding on 2024 and
7075 alloys.
