I've seen metal bending pliers, probably made for sheet metal bending, that are 3" or 4" wide. I'd want to use these very wide pliers and make just a tiny bend, maybe invisibly small, for a few feet. Then I'd fly to test it.
You need to do this early in the morning or just before sunset when the air is glassy smooth down to the ground. Though I've never needed to do this myself, that's my suggestion. Ed
