The real problem with mogas is the ethanol.
Lead fouling from 100LL can be controlled by using Alcor TCP, which has been
hard to find for a while now.

A number of people seem to be amused at the thought of using mogas
instead of that "slightly" more expensive 100LL. My understanding is
that 100LL is anything but "low lead." I would argue that avgas is
harmful to my antique Continental. Most people seem to agree that
switching to a fuel with less lead than 100LL is a good idea and will
likely solve the problems of lead fouling on valve guides. I don't
like to think about suffering a stuck valve in flight. It was bad
enough when it happened on the ground and resulted in an extended
vacation from flying and more than a dollar or two from my wallet.

Thanks for the discussion. I hope the information keeps us all well
grounded and our airplanes flying. I have added grounding straps to my
  lists of must haves.

Unless the FBO owner is a real nitwit, support those guys as they
really don't make as much as you would think.
