46' 415-C with a C-85.
I was putting the gasolator on my engine today and ran into an
interesting problem.
The gasolator is bumping the oil-tank just enough that I can't get the
carb. mounted back up properly.
I have the 90 degree elbow mounted on the back of the carb. screwed in
as far as it can go and it clears there.
I also have the straight connector screwed onto the 90 degree elbow
with no problems.
But when I screw the gasolator on and try to tighten the carb. back up
onto the engine the gasolator hits the oil-tank.
It seems that the 90 degree elbow needs to go into the back of the
carb. more to move the gasolator forward just a hair but this isn't
possible.

Can anyone explain whats going on and how to fix this?

I'm going to catch a lot of grief for asking this question ......is it
acceptable to ding the oil-tank a hair for gasolator clearance?
