[ercoupe-tech] Radio installation

Does anyone know off the top of your head if it is legal to replace  
my com only radio without
paying a radio shop to do the work. Already have radio, antenna, etc.  
and just want to change
the location from under dash to a hole in the dash. Shouldn't take  
more than a couple of hours;
but two radio shops want about $1,000 to do the work if I provide the  
radio. Seems outrageous
to me.
