Bart, I've done lots of stalls with full nose down trim, back when my Coupe was a C with the wide chord trim tab, and now, that it's a D. All I ever got was a mush and occasionally a wing drop, fully recoverable in a few seconds. All Ercoupes must have a trim tab limiter which restricts the tab so it goes no higher than horizontal (flush with the top of the elevator) when it is in full nose down position. I have seen a few Coupes which had this limiter bent upwards, but that is not legal and should never be done. I think your concern is completely unwarranted, but thanks for thinking of our safety.

Syd

there may be a way to get a higher angle of attack
and/or full stall in the Ercoupe, if conditions are right, and
subsequent autorotation (spin).
Elevator effectiveness is increased significantly, at least in the
C/D with the bigger trim tab, if you trim full nose down.
