Hi,

I'm looking at the STC for the F&M filter adapter on my C85, and it says on the back of the first page that the only approved filter is the Champion. How do I legally install a Tempest? If I print the installation instructions linked in the email and keep them with the STC certificate is that good enough? Is the change retroactive to all existing STCed installations? How does that work?

One is the Tempest filter, which I feel is the best choice. It contains an internal magnet to snag ferrous bits and also has a bypass setting more in line with the Continental design philosophy than the others.



F&M intends the approval to be extended to prior installations and has granted permission for new instructions to be freely distributed. To that end, you can get a copy here:
