Buy the Concorde RG-25XC battery, they are quite reliable. Stay away from
Gil batteries.

If you've never hand-cranked the prop, don't start learning on an Ercoupe.
In spite of the small engine it's quite dangerous because of the trike gear
and low to the ground.

If you must boost and don't have a receptacle, use jumper cables from a car.
Disconnect the aircraft battery leads so you don't cause any damage to the
airplane. Recharge from the car for 10-15 mins, then disconnect the
jumpers, connect back the aircraft battery leads, and try to start. Don't
try to start while charging from the car, you're asking for an accident.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] re: Boost starting

In every plane I've ever owned there was a receptacle plug for boost
starting.
How does one boost start an Ercoupe. Any takers on this question.
