I have, and I believe others also have, emptied my tanks and added one
gallon at a time and marked a 'dip' stick at each gallon.

You might want to do each separately.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Checking Fuel
Importance: Low

Due to Summer heat and since our 415C LSA Coupe is restricted to 1320
lbs my partner and I have decided to reduce our fuel in the wing tanks
for more payload and better performance. I have the universal fuel
quantity stick. Is there another way I can determine the fuel quantity
in the tank other than draining the tank and fill as needed to check
the level on the stick ? With 9 gallons and full I can determine the
full mark on the stick but any suggestions on a reduced amount of fuel ?
Thanks in advance. Hope to see many Coupers at the AOPA open house this
Saturday in Frederick, Md ( FDK )
