No personal experience, Dan, but the "Flip Over" is seems to be a common Ercoupe trick. Two incidents I know of: * Engine lost power on takeoff. Pilot landed straight ahead, and applied the brakes because of a building coming up too quickly. Nose wheel dug in and over he went. He lived to fix the `coupe and flys it to this day last I heard. * Another engine power loss - in flight over mountains. Pilot did everything right. Landed at a mountain strip. Strip had snow on it, so over he went! Neither he nor the State Cop could figure out how he got out of the back window (believe he's 6'3" or so). Now consider the Ercoupe center of mass. The heavy engine and occupant(s) put it up front. When the nose hangs up, it rotates around that center. Percy in NM, USA
