Hi Dan,
Aside from the Fed -regs on aircraft lighting.
The lights on aircraft or for that matter any vehicle
are obviously seen easily at night,
During the daylight hours you will probably see the aircraft before you see
any lighting.
(just think about it before jumping on me)
The position the Feds have is very realistic,
"Day or Night Keep it Bright"
Everything helps save your skin. Do what makes you feel comfortable.
Spend your money wisely based on the kind of flying your doing.
I fly day VFR only in the NYC area and have my Coupe lit up like a Christmas
tree.
I use fight following on every flight through the area with a Garmin 330
xponder
showing traffic on a Gizmo mounted Garmin 496.
The most inexpensive item must be considered first. Have your eyes checked?
Your vision (see & be seen) and be safe.
