My condolences to you, Jim. A couple weeks ago a friend in my EAA chapter had an incident. He had spend 10 years building an Avid Magnum. Had a nice Lycoming engine in it and a fine 4-bladed plastic prop. Spring main gear, and a superb job over all. Nice green and white paint. For pictures:
http://www.dfn.com/eaachapter1193/FanningMagnum.htm He was up with an instructor who had many tail-wheel hours; flys a Citaberia and has lots of DC-3 time. A brake locked; even that IP "couldn't do noting with it." It didn't tip much, but pranged one wing, tucked a main wheel under, dragged the horizonal and bowed some tubes in the real fuselage. He generously accepted my offer for an Ercoupe ride last weekend. I took him up to Roswell, and we talked with another guy that wrecked his home built. Hey, stuff happens, and he feels better now367. I'll conclude this story by saying: "You gotta git back up on that hoss!" So remember, Buckeroos; "Never a hoss that's never been rode, Never a cowboy that's never been throwed."
