I think there are three fuel problems. The crossfeed line is being fed from the fuel pump.
The gaskets in the fuel caps are not making contact with enough pressure. The 1/16" adaptor on the output of the fuel pump is either not installed or installed on the suction line. Just a guess! Filled the wing and header tanks as I have always done before. As some will recall, I just had the engine overhauled, had a carburetor problem when things were put back together... Did the test flights last Monday and all seemed good to got outside of the difficulty with the air speed indicator reading high. Did all the things recommended, have not solved that one... so I am attitude flying and that is working. Back to the new problem. Fuel is venting from the right and header cap continuously during flight. I am using the cork gauge caps that were bought from Skyport... never a problem before. Aside from the venting through the front hole in both caps, I am also getting fuel up into the sight glass. The header tank looks like the fuel is boiling and the right one just fills most of the sight glass. My A&P said it is not a problem with the new fuel pump as he put in a spec unit... Open to ideas until he looks things over on Monday... Thanks, John
