I think any objection from the LSA manufacturers would be a knee jerk reaction 
that is not justified.  Their primary market seems to be those who want a NEW  
aircraft for whatever reason.  After all, look at Legend Cub, etc.- you can 
still buy a pretty nice J-3 for less than the typical $120,000 a new Legend Cub 
will cost you and yet Legend Cubs are still rolling out of the factory at a 
pretty good clip.
