having worked with metalurgist in aircraft for many years i can assure
you that corrosion on the metal it is caused by either the envirenment
or contamination .usually moisture or when a rib traps mouse urine . if
the material was defective it would have corroded 50 years ago

Actually, if I had been able to document the project, it would have
been an exact copy of your web site except everything would be like
an old photo negative because my problem was on the left side instead
of the right side.
I suspect the bad aluminum theory is correct.
