I've had the same gascolator leak issue on a brand-new airplane. I lost 15 gallons of fuel during a 1-hour flight. I now check the gascolator first thing and last thing on my checklist. I'm new to this group because I'm new to Ercoupe! I'm flying to Florida Tuesday morning the 14th to pick up my new/old 1945 415C, which I'll be flying back to Massachusetts on Thursday. I'll look forward to reporting on a great flight. Meanwhile, I'll watch that header tank issue. Thanks for the great info.
