I must have phrased my question poorly--I'm not getting the answers I expected.
A fellow mechanic who hasn't worked on an Ercoupe for a while asked me about this. I was unable to answer him directly. I have never worked on a Coupe with these baffles installed myself, however I have seen a Coupe with them installed. John Wright Jr has mentioned the subject to me during a conversation on another matter. So I do know there are some planes running around with the Cessna baffling installed. Why would anyone want to do this?? Save money and time. The Ercoupe stuff costs like gold and it is a real pain in the butt to install. The Cessna stuff is simple, easy to install, cheaper and does keep the cylinders cool. So in order to help my fellow IA who does not access this forum ,I asked if anyone was using the Cessna baffling. Had anyone answered in the affirmative, then questions like "What's your CHTs run?" "Will you share the 337" etc ect would have been asked. I should have gone into more detail in my first post. Cheers: Paul N1431A KSDM
