Glen.

The fuel is leaking through the carburetor. You are experiencing most likely a
leaking needle valve in a Stromberg carburetor. I lost ones the whole content
of the header tank during a week.
It can be fixed, but closing the header tank valve after flight is much easier.
Which is what I am doing now.

Gang

My Ercoupe leaks fuel into the cowling and on the nose gear when the fuel
selector is left in the on position while the plane is parked. It lost about
two gallons in three days. I know that this is a common problem with Ercoupes.
Where is the most likely place the fuel is leaking from and what is the fix?

Thanks

Glen
