I have a new engine install and my carb heat when applied seems weak.
New exhaust system, new shrouds, new scat tubing. On the ground at
1800 rpm I get maybe 20-50 rpm drop; at 2000 rpm I get little or no rpm
drop.

Two things; one is how tight of a seal do you folks have on the carb
heat flap (does the flap have a rubber seal around it?) and second my
new shroud on the new muffler is not a perfectly tight fit so maybe it
leaks cold air in at higher rpms. Any thoughts of how to really check
out the carb heat?
