Ed, I remember reading somewhere (which means nothing) that even if one is a private pilot,but flying on the Sports Pilot rule, they are sports pilots and cannot do those things which a Private Pilot is authorized to do. I say this just to stimulate conversation as there are those much more knowledgable than I regarding this as I do not remember what document I read that stated what I said. I think it was in the AOPA magazine. Lee
