Not true, Alan. Slicks used to be throw-away, but have been rebuildable for the past 12 years or so.

If for whatever reason you decide to use another brand of mag, I would be more than happy to buy your old Eisemanns from you. They are 100% re-buildable. Fresno has all of the parts and there are other companies that re-wind the coils, condensers, etc. Unlike Slicks that are throw away mags, Eisemans can be rebuilt. I find them more reliable than Bendix or Slick. Fresno also sells a manual on how to rebuild them, it is missing a few details but write me if you get hung up with which way is up with the cam, etc.
