Please re-read what I wrote:

Now, hold your left hand out, palm down, and put it on top of your imaginary
steering wheel or Ercoupe pretzel yoke.  Note that your thumb is to the
right.  Your thumb is just about right to push on a PTT that's attached at
the 2:00 o'clock position and angled down.

 

I do, indeed, fly with my left hand, using my right hand for all the other
miscellaneous switches, controls and throttle.

 

No sweat.  I think you just missed something in the visualization.
