Since ours has rudder pedals, the panel brake is the only one we have. It is not adequate enough to hold the aircraft in place when doing the 1700 rpm mag check. Aircraft creeps so we are doing the mag checks at 1400- -1500. We have the Cleveland brakes, all have been checked and are working as they should, but will not hold the aircraft in place.
If you have the foot brake - be glad you do and keep both.
