Mornin' Jim;

IIRC, and that's been going for a while now, with pedals you also should have a
center mounted hand brake. Check the contents of Erco's kit or someone's
aftermarket kit (Skyport?). Also, if your pedals were installed via logbook
entry, check on those planes that came equipped with pedals from the factory.
That's your reference point. If it's in there you should have it.

  Since ours has rudder pedals, the panel brake is the only one we have. It is
not adequate enough to hold the aircraft in place when doing the 1700 rpm mag
check. Aircraft creeps so we are doing the mag checks at 1400- -1500. We have
the Cleveland brakes, all have been checked and are working as they should,
but will not hold the aircraft in place.

  If you have the foot brake - be glad you do and keep both.

    I use it as a Parking Brake... I cannot use it for any thing else
    While parked, I step on and hold the foot brake down then pull the hand
brake,
    It holds the plane in place when parked. Just like a cessna.
