I'll agree that -tech is not the right place for a theology discussion.
Compliments to all the participants for keeping the discussion calm and civil. However, here's a new institution, the "pizza call." Another forum found that when discussion got hot or fully off topic, it was time to send out for pizza. By the time the pizza is ordered and eaten, the problem is gone. They allow the discussion to be stopped by two members calling "pizza" on the topic. Let's adopt that convention, here. So, here's a pizza call on the theological part of the subject.
