To All::: I appreciate your opinopns but my problem is a little deeper than
just history.  I bought a Coupe that the owner turned in both his Registration
AND his Cert of Airworthiness when he could not fly any longer (Senile???).
The DAR I work with raised the question (also with the FSDO) about the nose
gear configuration when he was doing his review for a new  Airworthiness
Certificate. Maybe we need to think about any other things we have added or
changed in the event of a FAA check.  I know that I'm taking a hard look at my
Coupe for potential problems (violations??)

It seems that a lot of Coupers feel that the fully extended strut is desirable
so I will license this new Coupe as it was built ( also to make the DAR happy
so he will sign the cert.)

Again thanks for your inputd. If anyone does come up with a document I would be
very interested.
