When mine did that, (steering to one side on the ground) we found that the
chain leading from the yoke and jumped a couple of links on the sprocket.
The A&P repositioned it and all was OK.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Hard steeering to the right

I have another problem, while taxiing..the plane pulls very hard to the
right. I have checked all the obvious things, such as air pressure, dragging
brake, etc. My A&P took a look and he said everything looked good to him at
least the parts he could see. Anyone have a great idea that will make my
coupe drive easily while taxiing? With the fuel leak, and hard driving, I
dont dare fly this plane yet. Also, if my wing tank does have a leak, how
hard is it to repair? I know, I have a 1000 questions, and dont know enough
about ercoupes to express my problems accurately, but am doing the best I
can with my limited knowledge of this cute lil plane. Help if you can,
please.

Gary
