"3. The "...boom and bust..." was NOT for "...two years...", but
extended from 1945 through 1950."
According to "The Ercoupe, " by Thomas, the "bust" started in late
1946. Basically, when all the rest of America got off war footing
and used it's produgious marketing power on a population starved
for consumer goods.
