No, you didn’t miss anything.

 

I think you are right that we do NOT have to install TSO items.  But, wasn’t
there also discussion that we had to get it approved by our A&P and/or AI
who had to sign off that it was as good as original equipment and how could
he know that if it’s not TSO?

 

Probably I shouldn’t have posted any comment at all.

Ed,

I thought the "bottom line" was that we do NOT have to install TSO items
from recent threads.

If so, we, too, "...have the privilege of using non-certified avionics...".

You seem to be implying that "...to follow the rules..." we have to install
TSO stuff. Did I miss
something somewhere?
