Tom,

Our Ercoupe ( 415-C) has the rudder pedals and they are not a problem in
flight.. I will say that when I started to fly it in 2006 I was still trying to
make my turns on the ground with them, only to realize very quickly that they
serve no purpose, except to confuse. But in time that confusion goes away.

I have found in cruise the ball on the T&B is very slightly to the left of
center and by holding a little left rudder ( step on the ball ) it straightens
out. But this is also an indication of another rigging issue which will be
corrected.

I have found the parking brake on the panel holds fairly well during engine
run-up but I am sure a foot brake would insure a firmer hold.

You will thoroughly enjoy your Coupe as all Coupe owners do. I have been flying
since 1951, all types of aircraft, and this is the most fun I have ever had.
Made me lose 30 lbs ( another hour of flight) and 30 more to go.

I usually wear some form of an Ercoupe pin or patch and am always amazed at how
it starts a conversation with pilots and even non-pilots that have had some
form of relationships with an Ercoupe.

We finally got N3439H into a hangar and that makes all the difference in the
world.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] New Owner Of An Ercoupe 415C

  Hi All,
I'm a new proud owner of an Ercoupe 415c LSA. I have about 2 hrs on it now
and I just can't believe how easy they are to fly. I plan to use it as a Light
Sport trainer, so if anyone one is looking to get some training give me a call
or email me.

Is there anyone flying an ercoupe with redder pedals? If so, how do you like
them?

  Thanks,
