There are at least 4 coupes with a door that I have found and I was
not aware of the
one you refer to. There is an STC for the door; but the owner of it
is dead and no
heirs that I can find. There have been at least two other coupes
altered with that
STC. The other coupe was in Europe and I don't know the paperwork for
it.
I haven't done the door conversion because I don't want to lose the
ability to
lower the window on that side. So far I've been using an electric
hoist in my
hanger and exploring the option of using an inflatable bag (like
those used for
rescue or jacking up heavy objects) to lift me to door sill height
for entry/exit.

but that was O.K. with him.
A lot more exists about the door, Etc.
His lessons were in an Ercoupe. Of course at that time there was no
need to take the W/C.
Possibly some of you are more familiar with this and can offer some
sensible advice.
