All,

I checked my military surplus tensiometer using the hanging weight test with a
175LB weight suspended on a 5/32" aircraft cable, and a 35LB weight suspended
on a 1/8" cable.

It read within limits over 10 tests at each weight. (the recommended proceedure)

I used a bathroom scales to test it so am first sending it to another member
who has a set of calibrated weights.

These things are not what we would call a precision instrument. The calibration
proceedure

allows a reading of from 166.25 to 183.75 at 175 lbs and the instrument is
still considered in calibration (+-5%)

Should have an answer by end of this week and then if anyone wants to borrow it
email me and I will arrange shipping from the other member direct to you.

Bill
