have a look at the illustrated instructions here: http://www.ercoupe.info/?n=Main.MainGearServicing You basically got all the needed information from the group, here are a few pictures showing what to do. BTW, the oil flipper is also used for servic strut with fluid as per repair manual. How do I service the oil and what kind do I use? The washer/rubber stack looks good and measures 4". The tail is 3" low. I have a single fork front. Should I install the "spacer"? What is the procedure for filling the front strut? Is it the same type of oil? What is the small (looks like an old oil flipper) on the main strut? I also have a leaking push rold tube can I re-align it or is it best to put a self sealing tube on it? What would you recommed? I have an extensive mechanical background and am very capable of doing professional work that I trust. This little coupe, that I have quickly learned to love, presents me with a new learning curve. With your help I look forward to bringing her back to excellent condition.
